General ENH MPH Competencies:

MPH-ENH 1: Describe critical factors of exposure assessment studies.

MPH-ENH 2: Explain how environmental factors impact human health.

MPH-ENH 3: Specify approaches for assessing environmental hazards.

MPH-ENH 4: Employ risk assessment approaches.

MPH-ENH 5: Describe regulatory programs and agencies that influence environmental and occupational health issues.

MPH-ENH 6: Explain how environmental justice impacts health.

MPH-ENH 7: Communicate scientific information in public and professional venues.

 

Environmental Toxicology Focus:

All General ENH MPH Competencies, plus:

MPH-ENH 8: Demonstrate practical knowledge of environmental regulations.

MPH-ENH 9: Specify approaches for assessing air- and water-borne agents.

 

Occupational Health & Safety Focus:

All General ENH MPH Competencies, plus:

MPH-ENH 10: Discuss worker health, safety, and compensation laws and regulations.

MPH-ENH 11: Demonstrate knowledge of a managerial perspective of occupational disease hazards.

MPH-ENH 12: Demonstrate knowledge of controlling workplace risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders.

MPH-ENH 13: Apply fundamental concepts of occupational safety and health theory and practice.

 

Industrial Hygiene Focus:
