Department of Epidemiology

PhD Epidemiology Financial Support

PhD students in the Department of Epidemiology are usually funded through a number of Graduate School Fellowships. These fellowships usually provide a stipend and full tuition payments. Stipend amounts may vary over time. However, students are encouraged to also seek employment working on a funded project (often one which could lead to a dissertation topic) or their own grant funding as well.

International students are eligible to receive Epidemiology Department fellowships and Assistantships or stipends once committed to full enrollment in the PhD program.  Please note that international students are not eligible to receive Named Scholarships awarded by the School of Public Health during their first year of enrollment. International students are eligible to apply for scholarships before the start of their second year of enrollment, as they will be returning students.
