Training Programs

Minority Health International Research Training Program (MHIRT)

The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health is offering research training opportunities to minority undergraduate, graduate and health professions students who have an interest in research experience in the areas of nutrition, tropical infectious diseases, reproductive health and/or sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS or chronic disease. Dr. Pauline Jolly, PhD, MPH is the Program Director and UAB mentor for past and present MHIRT Trainees. She provides leadership to both International and UAB mentors in the Minority Health International Research Program. For more information click here
