The Frank and Kathleen Ellis Ryals Public Health Building

The Frank and Kathleen Ellis Ryals Public Health Building was built in 1996. The building was made possible by a donation from Dr. Jarvis and Mary Jo Ryals, who named the building in memory of Jarvis's parents, Frank and Kathleen Ellis. The School of Public Health was rapidly out growing its old locations in Tidwell Hall and other buildings across campus. The Ryals Building allowed School of Public Health faculty, staff, and class rooms to be housed in one building. The six story building houses ten classrooms, nine labs, a recording studio, and numerous office suites.

Today, we find ourselves at a crossroads.  Our building is in need of a substantial infrastructure renovation to accomodate our growing student population.  To continue our legacy of producing cutting edge research and innovative public health practitioners, we need to expand, update, and renovate. To do so, we need your help.
