Minor in Public Health 2016-17

Overview for the Minor in Public Health 2016-17

Public Health is an exciting and growing field of study. The field challenges its professionals to confront complex health issues, such as improving access to health care, controlling infectious disease, and reducing environmental hazards, violence, substance abuse, and injury. A minor in public health can complement many areas of study across campus by providing a broader perspective on health and community concepts.  Pursuing a public health minor enables students to incorporate health promotion and prevention into a variety of settings and will give a foundation in public health concepts.
