2018 International Biometric Society Eastern North American Region’s (ENAR) Distinguished Student Paper Award

Congratulations to Dr. Byron Jaeger, the recipient to one of the International Biometric Society Eastern North American Region’s (ENAR) Distinguished Student Paper Awards for the 2018 ENAR Spring Meeting in Atlanta, GA.  The award recognizes his excellent paper entitled An R2 Statistic for Covariance Model Selection in the Linear Mixed Model. 

Dr. Jaeger is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at The University of Alabama at Birmingham with a research background in Longitudinal Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Statistical Programming in R, Blood Pressure Monitoring Data, and Exercise/Health Behavior Studies.

As a student winner, Dr. Jaeger will receive a one year membership in ENAR, which provides electronic access to flagship journal, Biometrics, as well as many other professional benefits of membership in such a dynamic and international society.

As an award winner, Dr. Jaeger will present at an oral contributed paper session, be invited to attend the ENAR President’s Reception and publicly receive his award at the ENAR President’s Invited Address session on Tuesday, March 27.
