Aissani and colleagues evaluate GWAS candidate loci for risk and growth of uterine fibroids in NIEHS-UFS

Brahim Aissani, PhD, research assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology recently assessed the association of 56 candidate single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) identified in two published genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of uterine leiomyoma (UL), or fibroids—with other colleagues.

Singleton, MPH, both in the Department of Epidemiology, were recently honored at the President’s Diversity Awards Banquet, in acknowledgment of significant achievements toward developing a more culturally diverse, competent, and inclusive university community.
